If you are just at the beginning of your training journey, then your main competitor is yourself. Compete with yourself - beat yourself in every workout - become better than you were yesterday. Compete with your colleagues in the gym. Agree and arrange small competitions with them from time to time: play ladder with them on the horizontal bar, organize a race on the national bench press, and so on. Let your workouts become more exciting. Win and lose - strive not to concede! There is more meaning in striving.
